About Your Lead Counselor
My name is Guy Stanley Meloy. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, marriage and family therapist and former paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne.
I enlisted in 1974 after a dismal year in college and look back on those Army days with more amazement and pride than I felt when I was in. Old guys always do.
It was constantly demanding, awesome, and wearisome — and hard because it took a lot of discipline, toughness, and responsibility all the time. Best experience of my life and I didn't even know it at the time.
Completed my enlistment, earned a BBA, worked in Texas, tried to become a commercial pilot in New Mexico, completed a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Montana State and my Ph.D. from Michigan State University.
I've come full cirlce now - back in Fayetteville with soldiers again. It gives me great satisfaction to serve in this way and I'm really glad it's on you and not me anymore. I know it's a hard life and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do.
"Thank you for being so present and avaible for our 2017 Survivors Conference. Our community is honored to have you and we look forward to longstanding collaboration."
